About Sophie

Why How
My passion for nature and all forms of art goes back to my earliest childhood memories. After studying music, I participated in starting two artisanal bakeries and then I created Papoum Papoum, a small company of eco-friendly comforters. After more than 12 years of textile creation, I now share my expression through a new medium: graphite drawing and watercolor and inks. It is with a minimalist aesthetic and a very intuitive approach that I try to touch something real, to "tell" a truth felt in an emotion, an impression, or an experience. A knowledge that passes through the body more than through the head. I paint, I observe, I listen, I feel, I calm down.
